Automata akrobata
Arenaslöjd
A festive vision of the future, combining woodworking and circus. Pedal-powered lathes and acrobats spin in a cloud of flying wood shavings.
Three acrobatic space travelers crash down onto Earth, landing in a pile of carved wooden objects. Gears, cranks, and pedal lathes come to life and start spinning – just like the travelers’ thoughts. What do we use our hands for? What did we really gain by letting machines take over the brain’s work and creativity?
An ancient lathe transforms into a whimsical universe filled with sound, light, and moving mechanical sculptures. Craft meets circus. Wood meets body. Humor meets precision, and imagination keeps spinning. Which cog would you like to be in humanity’s machinery?
