AMPHI – (on both sides: of both kinds)

Svalbard Company

A tactile installation and immersive performance about hope, care and fragile resistance.

A womb, a church, a stomach. AMPHI reflects on hope, vulnerability, and resilience in turbulent times. With a whale skeleton sculpture made of wood and LED lights, Tom Nepomuk Brand invites to contemplation on humanity’s relationship to all life. He meets the audience inside the whale’s embracing ribcage, offering care and protection as we dive deep into ourselves or connect with one another. A transparent room without walls that still holds us. Ribs that protect the center of emotions, our deepest psyche, and the most vital organs. There is always more space.

Premiere in CirkusMania!
